| Stamattina ho portato la mia classe a Villa Bertelli, Forte dei Marmi, per vedere la mostra di costumi d’opera allestita dalla Fondazione del Festival Pucciniano, l’associazione che gestisce il grande teatro all’aperto di Torre del Lago e le sue magnifiche rappresentazioni operistiche. C’era una piccola ma intensa collezione di costumi di scena disegnati da famosi artisti contemporanei e gli studenti sono stati invitati a disegnarli mentre visitavano la mostra, il che mi ha svoltato la giornata! Non c’è bisogno di dire che anche io mi sono messo a disegnare, con i miei soliti strumenti e lo sketchbook, suscitando la curiosità dei miei studenti riguardo al waterbrush; alcuni di loro non si sono resi immediatamente conto che stavo usando gli acquerelli e hanno chiesto che colori fossero. Era una bella mattinata, la passeggiata è stata piacevole e la visita anche migliore; tutti sono stati coccolati con una fetta di torta, succo d’arancia, coca cola e acqua. È davvero lavoro questo? | This morning I led my class to Villa Bertelli, Forte dei Marmi, to see the opera costumes exhibition set up by the Festival Pucciniano foundation, the association which manages the big open air theatre in Torre del Lago and its magnificient opera shows. There was a small but intense collection of costumes designed by famous contemporary artists and the students were invited to sketch them while visiting the exhibition, that made my day! There’s no need to say that I sketched them as well, with my usual tools and sketchbook, arousing my students’ curiosity about the waterbrush; some of them neither immediately realized I was using watercolours and they asked what kind of colors they were. It was a nice morning, the walk was pleasant and the stay even better; everyone was treated with a slice of cake, orange juice, coke and water. Is this really work? |
