Fence to nowhere.

E’ in giorni come questi che ti chiedi chi te lo faccia fare di stare chiuso in una stanza a lavorare; non tanto quando c’e’ bel tempo, che l’idea ti infastidisce soltanto, ma quando la furia del ponente ti riporta violentemente alla realta’, costringendoti ad accorgerti che c’e’ un mondo reale, fuori. Devi uscire, in mezzo al vento e alla sabbia che rischia pericolosamente di insinuarsi nelle meccaniche della lente, sentire gli spruzzi in faccia e decidere al volo quando e’ il momento di fare quei tre scatti. Quelli che riusciranno a malapena a rendere l’idea di una ponentata di Marzo.

It’s in days like these that you wonder what’s forcing you to stay insto a room and work; not much in those sunny days, when the idea is just annoying, but when the wrath of the west wind violently brings you back to reality, forcing you to realize that there’s a real world outside. You gotta get out of there, among the wind and the sand which could dangerously damage your glass’ gears, gotta feel the water on your face and decide in a second the right time to shoot those three frames. Those which will hardly give the idea of a west wind storm in March.
