Ingegno – Wits

I feared that some hair had entered the scanner while digitizing this negative, so I zoomed to see what? It weren’t hairs. Those thin white threads under the windowsill are strings the old lady tied to the shutter locks to be able to unlock them without leaning out.
Old people’s wits sometimes astonish.
Shot in San Vincenzo on seven-years-expired Kodak Portra 160 NC medium format film with my YashicaMat, during a lovely sunny coffee break.
This roll was donated by Michael Raso, speaker of the great Film Photography Podcast. Please browse their website and listen to them, it’s a great show!!!
